How long have you been doing weddings?

I have been photographing professionally since 1995 when I retired from the Army and I have been shooting wedding's full time since 2006.

What type of weddings do you work best at?

I really enjoy working at smaller weddings. Weddings that range from 50 to 150 people.  Mid size weddings are nice too. Large weddings over 300 people I will usually pass on.

There is a lot of talk about styles of photography, where do you fit in?

I believe in capturing the events as they unfold. I shoot a lot of candid shots. I realize that people do still want nice formal portraits taken of the families, bridal party and of the bride and groom. These are done quickly, usually in about 30 minutes after the wedding itself. Before the wedding we will have already photographed the groom and his family and the bride and her family. these will usually take about 90 minutes to do.

Will you work with other vendors I've already found or people I really want to work with?

I would be happy to work with the vendors that you have already found.

Do you take more then one wedding per day?

I will only shoot one wedding per day. This way you have my complete attention for your wedding day. Also, I will be the photographer that shows up to photograph your wedding. Some times I might have a extra person with me, usually not, but I will be the one shooting your wedding.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes I do. If your wedding site needs a certification of insurance just let me know and I will be happy to provide

one for them.

Where are you located, do you travel?

I live in a small town just outside of Tyler Texas. I have closed down my office in Tyler and now work from home with all the joys that has. When I need to meet with clients I will usually do so at the Starbucks in the Barns and Nobel book store in Tyler. Yes I do travel for weddings. I usually work in the east Texas area but have traveled to the Gulf for weddings as well as Louisiana. Right now Ft Worth is about as far west as I want to go. I also do not charge a travel fee.

How soon can we see the images?                                                                                                                                 Generally, your images are ready for viewing within 1 week

Do you put images up online?

Yes I do. About 150 to 200 images that high light your wedding. They are placed on www.Smugmug.com .  You can go to the site and do a search for marquardt21 and it will pull up the galleries for you.
